Historic Upset for Puerto Rican Mens Volleyball

Monday, in the FIVB Men's World Cup, Puerto Rico upset the United States to go to 2-0 in the 2007 World Cup.. It was a historic moment for the Puerto Rico squad as this was the first time in thirty years that Puerto Rico has beaten the United States team.

Perhaps the United States went unprepared mentally after themselves upsetting volleyball powerhouse Brazil in action from Sunday. While the Puerto Rican team (2-1) lost to the Bulgarian team in Tuesday's action, they still advanced into the second round of the competition. Their first matches in the second round is, first, the top standing Brazilian team on Wednesday and then Spain on Thursday.
