Renovación de Parador El Buen Café

This week, the Parador and Restaurant El Buen Café announced plans to invest nearly $1 million to renovate and improve their facilities. After recently being named the Best Parador in Puerto Rico, El Buen Café will complete the renovation in three phases. The first phase consists of remodeling the cafeteria, for an estimated $300,000. The cafeteria reopened on Friday March 30th.

The second phase of the renovation will expand and remodel the bar. This renovation will offer visitors better entertainment activities, including live music from Thursday through Sunday. In this phase, they will remodel the restaurant, including the kitchen and warehouse facilities. This phase will be completed by the end of summer.

The third phase will concentrate on remodeling and expanding their activity halls and their banquet hall. The banquet hall has the capacity for 300 people. Hector Martinez, owner of El Buen Café indicated that they will also soon add 16 new villas, which will increase to 49 their total inventory of rooms. To add these new villas, they acquired various residences that were converted into tourist villas. The total investment for this expansion was approximately $800,000.

According to the owner, the Parador EL Buen Café is one of the most economic lodgings in the area during the entire year. Exlcuding taxes, rates start at $95 a night.
